This is a late post of our most recent visitor: Sr. Mona, from the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist's Idaho Center. Sr. Mona arrived punctually but her bags did not...the dreaded delayed bags form had to be completed before clearing Customs, with the promise that the "bags will be delivered." (Yes, and the check is in the mail!)Well much to our surprise, especially myself, a true doubting Thomas, the bags were delivered to the door, within 24 hours of Sr. Mona's arrival. d -we'd post it on the Blog... and I must say (having passed through Manley Internation Airport Sunday past) that the entire process at the airport is much improved, and no longer dreaded.Sister Mona also took a few days to get accustomed to the roads... the weather... the noise... the constant (24/7) sensorial experience here in Above Rocks... but two weeks into her month-long stay she's helping in the Cupertino Program, visiting the sick/homebound on Tuesdays and following the regular routine here at St. Mary's. Sr. Mona is a gardener, counselor and a baker... we've been treated to her baking for our Fat Tuesday treat.
We pray God's blessings on Sr. Mona as she experiences the Mission.
