This afternoon members of all four of our Church Communities, as well as representatives from St. Mary's College and All-Age joined hundreds at The Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity to bid farewell to The Most Reverend Lawrence Burke, Archbishop Emeritus of Kingston, Jamaica. Battling cancer for the past four years, "Archbishop Larry" showed courage and determination as he carried the cross of suffering. The Archbishop was a strong advocate of Catholic Education and was very generous in awarding scholarships to Roman Ca
tholic men and women who desired to attend school to become teachers in Catholic Schools. Archbishop was the one who invited the Friars of Saint Anthony Province to minister with the people at Saint Mary's and Missions - Above Rocks. May he rest in peace!
