St. Edward School, Stafford Springs, CT

Last year we asked our Franciscan Parishes in the US to consider making St Mary's, Above Rocks, their designated charity for Lent. Fr Richard Jacob Forcier and the school children at St Edward School, Stafford Springs, CT responded with a check in excess of $600 US..."for your breakfast club." You see Fr Richard told the children about our morning porridge program. He then left an empty gallon milk jug in each class. The children were asked to donate their change from lunch or pocket change to help 'feed the kids' in Above Rocks. Without asking, St Edwards did it again this year and sent another check for over $600 to help with our feeding program. Here you will see Fr Richard (left, in grey) and Fr Vincent (to the right in black) with the 8th Grade Graduates, teacher and principal.

Hi my name is Arianne and I went to St. Mary's Above Rocks through WCSU, and Fr. Mike. Myself and the othr student who went on this trip who worked in the feeding program in the morning and saw how truely greatful these kids are for the poragde they get every morning,a dn how much it means to them to have that to eat before they start their classes. Thank you for what you have done, because every little bit helps much more than you know. God Bless
