Pen Pals at Father Kolbe School

PEN PAL, a noun. A person with whom one becomes acquainted through a friendly, regular correspondence.

The students at Father Kolbe School in Baltimore, MD, have been pen pals with the children here at St. Mary's All Age School. Grades three and four write each other several times a year. The most recent letters from the students in Jamaica explained the Jamaican Flag and a few pieces of Jamaican culture. For Christmas the students of Father Kolbe School sent Christmas Cards to the same children/grades.

On Wednesday, 30 January 2008 I had the opportunity to visit Father Kolbe School and to do a short PowerPoint presentation on St. Mary's: it's missions and schools. The pictures to the right show the students and a part of the presentation.
